Shortcuts for Elgato's Stream Deck
This plugin connects Stream Deck buttons to Apple Shortcuts so you can build tactile, accessible automations without scripts.

I created the OSS Shortcuts plugin, which bridges Apple's Shortcuts app with Elgato's Stream Deck hardware. I instantly knew I wanted to create this when Apple announced Shortcuts support for macOS, in June of 2021. Fast forward later that year & nothing really worked the "right way", so l got to work!
I conceptualized, designed, & architected platform-first features, sprinkling in a platform-leading user experience, while ensuring this was the most accessible plugin on Elgato's Marketplace. Shortcuts is fully open-source. The frontend is written in CSS/HTML/JS, while the backend is written in Swift. The app runs across 4 operating systems, supporting a large, dedicated userbase.

It's a foundational pillar of mine that we write software that is accessible to everyone, because when we don't intentionally include everyone, we unintentionally exclude others, which goes against the premise of what technology was meant for; To allows us to achieve the best work of our lives, in the most efficient manner possible, so we can have more time doing the things we enjoy doing, ie, living life!
Since launch, the plugin has grown to over 41,000 users worldwide, processed 6.2M+ actions, & been featured in Wired, MacStories, & Six Colors & many more publications. It's now used by major companies including Apple, Adobe, GitHub, Microsoft, Netflix, Buffer, Cloudflare, Ahrefs, Peleton, HashiCorp, TED, Sentry, Envato, Elgato, Oracle, Grand Valley State University, Red Cross & so many more! I've maintained it through four OS cycles, continuously adding features based on user feedback while keeping it lightweight & reliable.
In my spare time, l'm dreaming up version 2 of the project, which is going to bring it to a monumental new level!
